Teacher Jason Northrup, Courtney Delello, Bil Zakrajsek and Tim Ryan The 2018 Daniel B. Swift Scholar Recognition Honoree for Bainbridge-Guilford Central School is Courtney Delello!
The 2018 Daniel B. Swift Scholar Recognition Honoree for Bainbridge-Guilford Central School is Courtney Delello. This program began as an Otsego County Chamber of Commerce initiative and has grown to be a program that enhances relationships between the business community, schools and institutions of higher education. The program recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement by a member of the graduating classes of the public and parochial secondary schools in the DCMO and ONC BOCES supervisory areas. It also recognizes a teacher nominated by each student scholar for having a significant and beneficial influence on his/her education. Student representatives are chosen on the basis of scholarship, as well as leadership and service to his or her school and community. Teachers can be from any grade level and any subject area, from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Congratulations Courtney and Mr. Northrup her Teacher Nominee!
Capital Project and School Safety driving 2018-2019 BG Budget
The 2018-2019 BG school budget proposal is $18,153,575 which is a tax cap of 4.23%.  Districts calculate their tax levy limit using a formula provided by the State Education Department. Please remember the 2.0% tax cap is a misnomer and tax payers will receive their rebate since the District is not going over the recommended tax limit. The voter approved Capital Project from last spring, and school safety features that we added to the budget after the Safety Forum are the big drivers.  We have added over $200,000 in safety features including a School Resource Officer, glass hardening for the entry ways, security cameras and servers.  The affect to a homeowner with a $100,000 assessment is 23 cents per day.  Please remember to vote on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.  Please call or email Mr. Ryan at tryan@bgcsd.org with any budget questions.

If you know in advance that your child will be out of school, please notify the approriate attendance office ahead of time and this will prevent the automated call.
