Bailey Hotaling All-State Scholar Athlete- Bailey Hotaling
Congratulations to Bailey Hotaling for being selected to the All-State Scholar Athlete team by the New York State High School Football Coaches Association. Bailey earned this award by being a conscientious competitor both in the classroom and on the football field. Student-Athletes were selected from over 150 schools in New York that participate in football. Student-Athletes must have over a 90 average and be significant contributors to the football team. Bailey satisfied both of these requirements easily. Good luck to Bailey next year, as he will attend Hartwick College to study Environmental Science and play football for the Hawks.
Five students who earned Associate Degree from TC3 B-G Students Earn Associate’s Degree
Bainbridge-Guilford Central School District offers the opportunity for students to earn an Associate’s Degree from Tompkins-Cortland Community College BEFORE they graduate from high school. Five students in the Class of 2017 have achieved this honor and are pictured here: Abbi Miller, Olivia Garror, Rachel Hinkley, Caitlyn Diamond, and Griffin Fisher. Additionally, the following seniors earned at least 24 college credits while in high school: Kyle Rideout, Austin Carr, Brandon Scherhaufer, Skylar Clark, Kamryn Farrell, Aidan Nolan, Bailey Hotaling, Konnor Bookhout, Camille Hawkins, Nevada Heaney, Rebecca Reyes, and Lindsey Barnhart.

Through this collaborative effort with TC3 and SUNY Broome, B-G students can choose from more than 20 concurrent enrollment courses and online courses covering a wide variety of subjects. Even if student do not earn enough credits for an Associate’s degree, it is great way for them to explore career interests and learn at the college level, while saving on future tuition charges if they choose to attend college after graduation. If you would like further information about this program, please contact the high school guidance office at 607-967-6320.

Best wishes to all our graduates in your future endeavors!

8th GRADE VISIT to SUNY MORRISVILLE
The 8th grade class visited the SUNY Morrisville main campus on May 9th. With the help of Liberty Partnership Program coordinator Shelley Bartow and BG LPP representative Patricia Yaddow the students were able to observe a horse swimming in the therapeutic pool at the Equine Rehabilitation Center and pet the calves at the Dairy Barn Complex. Students also participated in a walking tour of the campus, visiting a classroom and lecture hall. Everyone was treated to a “taste” of college life by eating in the Seneca dining hall. Students were impressed by the variety of foods that are offered each day for Morrisville students. We ended our trip at the IcePlex, where students and staff had some fun ice skating. A fun fact we all learned is that Mr. Zakrajsek can ice skate very well, even backwards!
