The Bainbridge-Guilford Board of Education has voted to honor former soccer coach and technology teacher, Peter Feltham, by naming the soccer field after him. The Willard D Morse Field at the Peter Feltham Soccer Complex will be dedicated Friday, September 16th. There will be a time to visit with Coach Feltham at 5pm with pizza and dessert being served, followed by the dedication at 6pm, ending with the varsity boys soccer game under the lights at 7pm. Coach Feltham was instrumental in starting the soccer program at B-G 30 years ago and has been involved with the program ever since. He is still friends with many of his former players who have gone on to coach or continue to play for fun, which was always a goal of Pete’s.
Coach Feltham was recently diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma brain cancer, and is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Everyone who knows him, knows he has a positive attitude, and he is staying strong through treatment.
Former players, students, colleagues, fans, and friends are invited to visit with Coach Feltham, on September 16th for the dedication.
