Junior Honor Society Inducts New Members

The Virginia Butler Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) has selected 21 students in grades 8 & 9 for induction for the 2020-2021 school year.  The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of leadership, service, character and citizenship. At Bainbridge-Guilford students must be in the 8th or 9th grade and have an overall average of 90 or higher in order to be invited to apply for membership.  
Membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but also challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. This year’s members, even while dealing with a global pandemic, were able to raise money through a hat day at school and proceeded to organize a winter clothing drive and used the money they raised to purchase additional items that were needed for the students in our district.
