OUR BUILDING
The Guilford Elementary houses three grade levels - prekindergarten, kindergarten and first grade. There are two sections of prekindergarten, three sections of kindergarten and three sections of first grade. The school day begins at 8:10 AM. Students who arrive after 8:25 AM are considered tardy. Dismissal is at 2:30 PM.
Prekindergarten
Prekindergarten or Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) consists of one full-day class and one half-day class. The half-day class is provided in the morning. Most of the student in the half-day class attend a Head Start program in our building in the afternoon. Mrs. Carlin is the current teacher of the full day class and, Miss Alexander is the teacher of the morning half-day class. Class sizes are currently kept at 16 students in each class. The academic focus of these classes is to provide a rich early literacy experience.
Kindergarten
Our kindergarten classes are full-day classes. We have four kindergarten teachers - Mrs. Barber, Mrs. Christophersen, Mr. Conover and Mrs. Vigneri
First Grade
Our first grade classes are taught by Mrs. Bianchi, Mrs. Blincoe and Miss Scholpp.
