Welcome to the Guilford Elementary School! Being charged with providing the foundational experience for our youngest B-G students and families is an honor and a privilege. Having a child begin school is a huge transition for both the student and the parents. At Guilford we are committed to providing our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade families with the resources and supports necessary to make these transitions as smooth as possible. Every one of us - administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and community members play a significant role in nurturing and developing a positive educational environment for our students. Open communication and ongoing collaboration build strong partnerships between home and school and it is these relationships that provide the best foundation for our youngsters. It is my vision that by working together as a team, we will enable our Guilford Elementary students to each reach their highest potential!
I believe a quality education grows from a positive school environment. At Guilford
Elementary, we are working collaboratively this year to implement two new ELA
programs; the “Wonders Reading Program” and “Handwriting without Tears”. We are
also working with our regional DCMO BOCES trainers to adapt the NYS math modules.
Continuous school improvement is a necessary component of a quality education and as
our staff works hard to implement these programs, I am confident you will see your
children enjoying great academic achievements.
As principal of Guilford Elementary, I am committed to building a trusting culture in
which school improvement is a constant priority. I enjoy working with the dedicated
staff at Guilford Elementary and becoming friends with our wonderful students. I look
forward to meeting parents and community members as we join together to shape the
future of our precious children. I anticipate the year ahead to be full of excitement and
enthusiasm as we embark on a spectacular year of learning and growing!
